DESCRIPTION
I live in a region of wide open spaces. Thus, I have an affinity for these vacant, empty landscapes. Perhaps the most wide open wild terrain on Earth lies in the Arctic, so traveling here is a natural pull for me. Additionally, the Ipewik River, highlighted in the story below, is the northwestern-most river in North America. To run it source to sea fits nicely into my greater Source to Sea Project, so this was a no-brainer expedition. Thanks to Philippe Doux at Paddle World for the opportunity to publish our adventure.
